Job Description
Vercel is seeking a Product Engineer to join their v0 team, focusing on building and optimizing AI-powered developer tools. The Product Engineer will play a key role in enhancing AI-driven code generation and developer experience tooling, helping teams ship faster with AI-assisted workflows. They will collaborate with product designers, AI researchers, and other engineers to develop intuitive and performant features that integrate into the Vercel ecosystem.
What This Role Involves:
- Developing and enhancing AI-powered developer tools within the v0 ecosystem.
- Architecting and implementing performant, scalable, and reliable solutions.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with AI researchers, frontend/backend engineers, and product teams.
- Optimizing and refining AI models to improve usability, performance, and accuracy.
- Ensuring an exceptional user experience through thoughtful UI/UX design.
- Staying ahead of emerging trends in AI and developer tooling.
- Diagnosing and resolving complex issues.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in full-stack development, with an emphasis on AI-powered or developer-focused tooling.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, with experience building web applications using React and Next.js.
- Backend expertise in Node.js, Python, or Go, with a focus on developing scalable APIs and AI-driven services.
- Experience working with AI models and APIs (e.g., OpenAI, fine-tuned models, or LLM-based applications).
- Familiarity with cloud-based architectures and serverless platforms, particularly within the Vercel ecosystem.
- A strong passion for developer experience and a deep understanding of how AI can enhance productivity.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
