Accounting Manager

Job Description

Rent the Runway is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their accounting team. The Accounting Manager will play a key role in the financial close process and collaborate across various business areas. This role reports to the Director/Senior Director of Accounting.

• Assisting in the timely management of the month-end/quarter-end financial statement close and reporting process.
• Reviewing and approving journal entries and reconciliations prepared by staff accountants.
• Performing detailed reviews of expense accounts.
• Investigating reporting discrepancies and communicating issues.
• Developing and improving month-end close and financial reporting procedures.
• Communicating with internal and external partners.
• Supporting the year-end financial statement audit.
• Participating in special projects.
• Mentoring and training staff accountants.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required, CPA license preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP.
• Experience working with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus).
• Strong Excel skills.
