Job Description
Rent the Runway is seeking a Process Engineer to join their Operations Engineering team. The Process Engineer will plan and execute capacity expansion and process improvements. This role involves partnering with cross-functional teams and interfacing with business leaders to drive critical business initiatives.Rent the Runway's operations team innovates through automation, process improvement, transportation methods, packaging, and garment science. The team manages fulfillment labor, transportation, and inventory care. The company's subscription rental model and reverse logistics process introduce complexities that are unique to Rent the Runway.What This Role Involves:
  • Managing the processing (mechanical & labor) and storage capacity model.
  • Gathering insights to support in monthly business review data.
  • Project management of Capex and CI projects from beginning to end.
  • Leveraging continuous improvement and lean tools to create standardization across sites.
  • Leading and supporting process improvements in partnership with operations and tech.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or Physics.
  • 2+ years of experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or Industrial Dry Cleaning industries.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in leading technical and CI projects or supporting large complex projects.
  • Utilize data analysis tools such as SQL, GBQ, Tableau, or Looker to analyze financial and operational data and generate insights.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
