The Orchard, a subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment, is seeking a Director of Label Management and Business Development in Beijing. This role involves managing relationships with distributed music clients, overseeing retail relationships, and optimizing the local supply chain. The Director will also identify opportunities to grow The Orchard’s label partnerships and manage the Label Management and Operations team.Role involves:

• Managing relationships with distributed music clients.
• Overseeing retail relationships and ensuring best practices.
• Managing and optimizing the local supply chain.
• Identifying opportunities to grow label partnerships.
• Managing the Label Management and Operations team.
• Strategizing and managing priority release campaigns.
• Managing local label release communication and logistics.
• Liaising with internal departments to meet client and retail partner needs.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in the digital music space.
• Experience managing catalogs, frontline releases, and relationships.
• An existing network of industry contacts.
• Proven experience managing a team.
• Advanced organizational skills and the ability to prioritize.
• Excellent communication skills.
