Vice President, GSA - The Orchard

Job Description

The Orchard is seeking a Vice President for the GSA region, based in Berlin or Hamburg. This role involves managing and executing the company's growth strategy, building a strong team, and nurturing client relationships across Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. The ideal candidate will have strong industry connections and the ability to drive revenue and enhance the company's profile.

The Vice President will be responsible for driving efficient communication, setting measurable goals, developing staff, and evolving the company's value proposition. They will also be the primary point of contact for new revenue opportunities.

What this role involves:

• Managing and expanding high-level client and account relationships.
• Increasing market share, revenue, and profit through strategic deals.
• Driving new deal signings and local M&A strategy.
• Inspiring, managing, and developing local staff.
• Providing local market insights and executing strategy with global management.
• Driving product adoption of The Orchard’s tools and services.
• Liaising with internal departments to meet client and retail partner needs.
• Managing HR, payroll, and expenses in conjunction with Sony and Orchard NYC.
• Creating and maintaining a collaborative work environment.
• Providing support and oversight in content acquisition, operations, and more.
• Motivating the German team to exceed goals.
• Acting as a local industry representative at events.

Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years’ business experience, preferably in the independent music sector.
• At least 3 years’ people management experience.
• Strong understanding of the local music industry and digital landscape.
• Experience managing catalogues and frontline releases.
• Excellent knowledge of the digital space, including music retail and social media.
• Excellent communication skills in German and English.
• Advanced organizational skills with the ability to prioritize.
• Passion for Independent music.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends and travel internationally.
