VP, YouTube Strategy - The Orchard

Job Description

The Orchard is seeking a Vice President of YouTube Strategy to enhance its YouTube offerings. The VP will work closely with YouTube, internal teams, and high-profile clients to drive platform growth, content creation, and monetization. This senior leadership role involves overseeing a significant P&L and working cross-functionally to develop and execute innovative strategies.

What the role involves:

• Acting as the primary business lead for the YouTube account.
• Centralizing communication across internal teams.
• Owning and managing the YouTube-related P&L.
• Developing and driving the implementation of a global YouTube strategy.
• Serving as senior liaison to the executive team.
• Developing and articulating management presentations.
• Working cross-functionally with internal teams.
• Scaling and optimizing YouTube channel operations.
• Providing feedback and help prioritize new strategies.
• Determining KPIs and metrics for measuring success.
• Leading, mentoring, and managing a team of YouTube Audit Specialists.
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key executives.
• Staying up-to-date with YouTube’s latest features.
• Developing and executing strategic pitches to attract new YouTube clients.
• Collaborating with the Artist and Label Partnerships and Label Management teams.
• Tracking and monitoring new and existing partner requirements.

Requirements:

• 12+ years in the digital music or entertainment industry.
• At least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven experience in YouTube strategy, rights management, channel optimization, asset management and revenue generation.
• Proficiency in using data analytics.
• Deep understanding of YouTube’s algorithm.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Travel required.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Ability to work across a multifunctional team successfully.
• Experience navigating complex problems.
• Experience managing P&Ls.
• Ability to think strategically.
• Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving industry.
