Job Description

The Orchard is seeking a College Marketing Representative in Los Angeles. This is a part-time, paid position where the representative will advocate for artists distributed by The Orchard. The representative will promote 5-10 artists per month through digital and in-person marketing strategies, acting as a tastemaker by collaborating with local businesses and campus organizations.

The role involves:

  • Creating awareness of The Orchard’s artists by building relationships with influencers.
  • Maintaining a local social media presence to promote artists.
  • Implementing in-person marketing initiatives at record stores and on campus.
  • Researching appropriate apps, forums, and networks for the target demographic.
  • Attending local and campus events to promote artists.
  • Attending artists' shows to distribute promotional materials and gather feedback.
  • Submitting detailed reports on marketing successes.

The requirements are:

  • Currently enrolled as an Undergraduate Student in a 4-year university in Los Angeles with at least 2 years left prior to graduation.
  • Ability to manage own hours and be accountable for assigned work.
  • Passion for music and understanding of music consumption trends.
  • Understanding of social media marketing and active presence on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.
  • Availability of 20 hours per week.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team player.
  • Transportation and residence within 30 minutes of Los Angeles.
  • Flexible schedule for team conference calls and tour coverage.
