Senior Server Engineer at Rush Street Interactive

Rush Street Interactive is seeking a Senior Server Engineer to join their team in Colombia. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in delivering high-quality, impactful products.

The position is ideal for an experienced developer with strong Java skills and expertise in building scalable web applications.

Role involves:

• Leading the development of complex features, from scoping to delivery.
• Collaborating with Product Owners to transform requirements into actionable plans.
• Designing and implementing efficient, scalable, and testable solutions.
• Maintaining high-quality standards through code reviews and mentoring.
• Driving technical roadmaps and initiatives to improve architecture and performance.
• Diagnosing and solving complex issues, and implement automated tests.
• Working with Oracle, PostgreSQL, and SQL databases.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in backend development with strong expertise in Java and web applications.
• Proven experience with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and tools like Hibernate and JPA.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and deployment tools (Git, Jenkins, Gradle).
• Strong database knowledge (Oracle, SQL, PostgreSQL).
• Ability to transform requirements into actionable plans and identify technical risks.
• Collaborative mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Professional English proficiency level is a MUST.
