Allen Institute for AI (Ai2) is seeking a Lead Machine Learning Engineer to join their Earth System team. This role focuses on building a platform for large-scale planetary intelligence, addressing environmental challenges through AI. The engineer will work on geospatial foundation models, scaling model training and inference, and building AI-first tools for scientists and policymakers.Ai2 values responsible AI, open-source contributions, and user empowerment.What this role involves:

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, ML/AI, or relevant field.
• Experience building, scaling, and optimizing enterprise-grade ML/AI systems.
• Proficiency in Python, C/C++, or similar languages.
• Experience communicating AI research and development.
• 5+ years of experience in ML.
• Expertise in geospatial AI, such as remote sensing and/or ML for geospatial trajectories.
