The Allen Institute for AI (AI2) is seeking a Senior Technical Recruiter to join their People Operations team. This role is based in their Seattle office. The Senior Technical Recruiter will be an enthusiastic relationship builder who is excited to make a difference at a high-impact, non-profit organization. Recruiting sits at the heart of AI2 and is a differentiating factor against its competitors.
The Senior Technical Recruiter will serve as the internal frontline resource for both hiring managers and candidates to effectively identify matches for AI2’s current and future openings.
Role Involves:
- Leading the recruiting efforts of AI2 to recruit and retain top-tier technical talent.
- Partnering with engineering leadership to identify, scope out, and recruit for highly technical, critical roles.
- Developing recruiting plans to ensure a best-in-class recruiting system.
- Managing the full cycle hiring process from sourcing to offers.
- Leading AI2’s partnership with third-party recruiting agencies.
- Using data to solve problems in all areas of recruiting.
- Developing and engaging a high-quality, diverse pipeline of candidates.
- Improving processes and efficiencies and championing innovative talent acquisition ideas.
- Ensuring an impressive candidate experience.
- Advising and training managers on recruiting best practices.
- Representing AI2 at technical sourcing conferences.
- Managing and mentoring the recruiting coordinator.
- Assisting in recruiting non-technical roles as resources allow.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Communications, Business, or similar preferred.
- 8+ years of successful full-cycle recruiting experience.
- 3+ years of recruiting Research Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers.
- Experience recruiting at a top-tier research institute or leading AI organization is preferred.
- Experience with grant-based hiring is a plus.
- Familiarity and comfort with a data-driven environment.
- Proven success delivering innovative sourcing and recruiting methods.
- Ability to collaborate effectively.
- Deliver results with agility.
- Experience with Greenhouse is a plus.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
