Senior Operational Network Engineer

Job Description

Two Six Technologies is seeking a Senior Operational Network Engineer to lead the design and implementation of complex networks supporting cybersecurity research and development. The successful candidate will manage custom systems, networks, and systems-under-test, contributing to innovative solutions for the national security community.

Responsibilities Include:

• Ensuring systems are prepared for use and respond quickly to requests.
• Supporting tight-looped development and integration production cycles.
• Contributing to process and testing automation efforts.
• Managing, reconfiguring, and helping automate components of a critical lab network.
• Continual learning in networking and cybersecurity.
• Traveling to customer locations for support.
• Developing and maintaining standards for applications.
• Collaborating and communicating across teams.
• Independently executing tasks.
• Providing technical guidance to team members.
• Proactively communicating status to team lead.
• Developing deep technical expertise.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Active US Security clearance of Top Secret level and ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI and poly.
• 5+ years of experience designing, configuring, administering, and maintaining enterprise networking devices (Cisco, Juniper, etc).
• 5+ years of experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching, routing, and VLANs.
• Proficient in using the Linux command line.
• Advanced critical thinking and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Laurel, Maryland.
• Willingness to travel to CONUS & OCONUS work sites up to 50% of the time.

Nice to have:

• IAT Level II or higher certification.
• Experience configuring, administering, and maintaining Linux servers or workstations.
• Experience in cyber operations.
