Job Description
Helmes is seeking a Senior System Analyst to analyze client needs and design solutions. The role involves identifying business process improvements, designing new system processes, and converting business requirements into functional specifications. The Senior System Analyst will also be responsible for system component research, dependency identification, and preparing recommendations.
- Analyzing client needs and determining their alignment with system functionality
- Identifying opportunities to simplify client business processes and proposing technical implementations
- Designing new system processes and maintaining knowledge of existing processes and solutions
- Converting business requirements into functional and non-functional system requirements
- Researching system components, identifying interdependencies, and evaluating existing systems
- Visualizing system architecture and processes, and creating technical descriptions and documentation
- Estimating workload, evaluating risks, and preparing reasoned recommendations
- Participating in the creation of user stories and defining testing tasks and scenarios
- Coordinating collaboration between the client and the development team
- Leading meetings with the client and team, planning work, and monitoring progress
- Demonstrating created concepts, ideas, and technical solutions to the client
Requirements:
- Higher education in information technology or a related field (at least a bachelor's degree)
- Comprehensive experience in IT system analysis and the solution development lifecycle
- Practical 5+ years of experience in system analysis, including requirements definition, documentation development, and collaboration with development teams
- Understanding of software architecture, programming languages, and software-related IT resources (databases, integrations, infrastructure)
- Experience working with various project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)
- Knowledge of system analysis best practices and the ability to apply them in various types of projects
- Ability to perform development workload estimation and risk analysis
- SQL knowledge and the ability to independently create and analyze queries
- Ability to organize and lead structured requirements elicitation meetings and analysis sessions with clients and development teams
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills focused on finding solutions and achieving results
- Very good knowledge of Latvian and English
