Rush Street Interactive is seeking a Senior Server Engineer to join their Player Account and Session team. This role involves technical leadership, focusing on player registration, authentication, KYC, and security features. The Senior Server Engineer will design and develop robust, scalable systems to ensure seamless player experiences.

What this role involves:

• Architecting and developing solutions for player registration and data handling.
• Leading the development of login flows and strong authentication methods.
• Implementing automatic identity verification flows and duplicate checks.
• Driving the delivery of regulatory player messaging and session management features.
• Taking architectural ownership of platform services and mentoring junior engineers.
• Diagnosing and resolving complex technical challenges.
• Developing metrics for observability to ensure service quality.
• Researching and proposing new tools and technologies.
• Partnering with Tech Leads, Product Owners, and QA teams.

Requirements:

• Proven experience with Java frameworks like Dropwizard, Spring, and Hibernate.
• Deep knowledge of system design, RESTful APIs, SQL, Kafka, Redis, and Gradle.
• Demonstrated ability to take full ownership of services.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and foster a collaborative engineering culture.
