Data Architect Principal (Snowflake)

Job Description

Sagent is seeking a Data Architect Principal to join their Enterprise Data Analytics and Architecture team. This role is crucial for providing data modeling and integration support, fostering innovative thinking in cloud-first, data-first paradigms, and ensuring high-quality, timely deliverables. The Data Architect will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and IT, understanding their needs and defining system requirements. This position is critical to driving the strategic value of data and application infrastructure.Responsibilities:

• Designing and developing data models that accurately represent the organization's data requirements.
• Working with large and complex data sets to identify patterns, trends, and insights.
• Maintaining data models to ensure accuracy and relevance.
• Establishing and maintaining comprehensive data model documentation.
• Providing data mappings requirements, user interface specifications, and processing logic to the ETL team.
• Coordinating with Business partners, Technical Analysts and Developers.
• Managing change control processes and ensuring program/project communications.

Requirements:

• 12+ years of experience as a data modeler, developer, data warehouse consumer, and/or data-related operations.
• 3+ years of experience with Azure, GCP, or other Cloud development and deployment practices.
• 4+ years of experience with data modeling tools such as ERwin, ER/Studio, or PowerDesigner.
• 3+ years of experience implementing dimensional data warehouses on Snowflake.
• 3+ years of experience with deployments via DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on knowledge of .Net, Java, and SQL.
• Mid-level to expert knowledge in data integration concepts.
• Strong project management skills across the SDLC.
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
