Revenue Accountant (Maternity Cover)

Job Description

Workato is seeking a temporary Revenue Accountant to cover a maternity leave. This role reports to the Director of Accounting in Singapore and is responsible for the global revenue recognition process for the parent company and its subsidiaries. Workato is a leader in enterprise orchestration, helping businesses streamline operations by connecting data, processes, applications, and experiences.Responsibilities include ensuring revenue is recognized according to accounting standards, updating revenue arrangements, monitoring total revenue, and ensuring accurate recording of revenue-related transactions.

• Ensure revenue is recognized according to accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606).
• Regularly update Revenue Arrangements, identify and resolve any issue/s noted, perform period-end Revenue management at month-end close
• Monitor and track company's total revenue on a monthly basis
• Ensure accurate recording and classification of all revenue-related transactions
• Review of customer contracts and ensure accurate revenue recognition rule is attached to each order and item in ARM (NetSuite)
• Analyze revenue data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
• Monthly Accounts Reconciliation of revenue accounts and reports, to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards (USGAAP)
• Maintain audit-ready financial records
• Assist with internal and external audits, including preparation of manual revenue calculations (if required)

Requirements include 7+ years of relevant experience with ASC 606, a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, and experience with Salesforce.com and Oracle NetSuite.

• 7+ years of relevant work experience related to the new Revenue Recognition Guidance (ASC 606) is a must
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, accounting, or finance
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under given time constraints and deadlines
• Internal and external stakeholder customer management skills
• Solid analytical abilities with advanced spreadsheet skills
• Experience with Salesforce.com (SFDC), Oracle NetSuite (ARM)
• Demonstrated experience working in a cross-functional team
• Meticulous, ability to work on your own, and good problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work on holidays/weekends to meet the Day 4 closing cadence
