Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Redis)

Workato is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Redis) to join their team in Sofia, Bulgaria. This role is pivotal in designing, building, operating, scaling, and maintaining Workato's enterprise-grade storage infrastructure. The engineer will collaborate closely with engineering and infrastructure teams, leading the global storage strategy for various use cases and ensuring high reliability and scalability. Workato is a leader in enterprise orchestration, helping businesses streamline operations by connecting data, processes, applications, and experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Designing, building, operating, scaling, and maintaining Workato's enterprise-grade storage infrastructure.
• Collaborating with engineering and infrastructure teams to lead the global storage strategy.
• Contributing to storage infrastructure as code, monitoring, and continuous analysis.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience with deploying and supporting highly scalable distributed in-memory data stores.
• Production experience with clustered Redis environments (e.g., ElastiCache, Redis Enterprise).
• Knowledge of the Valkey/Redis ecosystem, including modules, Sentinel, and client libraries.
• Experience with Redis memory optimization, eviction policies, and cost optimization.
• Experience with zero-downtime major version upgrades and migrations.
• Understanding of compliance, auditability, and security for Redis systems.
• Experience with cloud computing (AWS preferred) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
