Job Description

Workato is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join their Product Security team in Barcelona, Spain. The ideal candidate will focus on designing, implementing, and managing security solutions for Workato's cloud-native platform on AWS. This role is pivotal in safeguarding systems, ensuring compliance, and advancing the security posture of Workato.Role involves:

• Designing and implementing security controls for AWS infrastructure.
• Performing vulnerability assessments and driving remediation efforts.
• Automating security monitoring and incident response processes.
• Leading security initiatives and projects.
• Conducting and analyzing penetration testing exercises.
• Collaborating with compliance teams to ensure adherence to security standards.
• Conducting technical risk assessments.
• Working closely with DevOps, Infrastructure, and Application teams.
• Leading investigations into advanced persistent threats.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field (Master's advantageous).
• 5-8 years in cybersecurity with a focus on cloud infrastructure security.
• AWS Security Specialty, GIAC (e.g., GSEC) certification (Essential).
• CISSP, OSCP, GPEN, GCIH certification (Preferred).
• Deep expertise in AWS security services.
• Proficient in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash).
• Hands-on experience with security tools like SIEM, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners.
• Advanced knowledge of penetration testing tools and methodologies.
• Expertise in network security, encryption standards, and IAM technologies.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001).
• Experience with security automation in DevSecOps environments.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
