Job Description

JD Sports Fashion, founded in 1981, is now a leading multi-channel retailer of sports and outdoor fashion in the UK and Europe. The group has over 2,400 stores and is focused on various retail segments, offering customers the latest products from top brands. They are seeking a Floor Manager for their Verona C.C. "Adigeo" store.

The Floor Manager reports directly to the Store Manager and provides support to the store manager and acts as a key point of contact with the sales staff.

Role Involves:

• Performing store opening and closing activities.
• Managing the sales department and ensuring cohesion between all areas and employees.
• Monitoring profitability through KPI tracking.
• Coordinating and motivating the sales team.
• Participating in sales activities and ensuring excellent customer service.
• Handling customer complaints efficiently and courteously.
• Supporting the store manager in recruitment and ensuring employee training.
• Performing administrative tasks related to hiring.
• Identifying employee potential and promoting their growth.
• Organizing employee schedules based on activity fluctuations and sales peaks.
• Monitoring employee conduct and reporting any non-compliant behavior.
• Ensuring the general safety of goods and people in the store.
• Ensuring the overall presentation of the store.
• Participating in loss prevention and control.
• Managing the cash register and supervising collections.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in managing structured retail outlets, preferably in dynamic and multinational contexts.
• Good knowledge of English.
• Leadership and good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of the Office package (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
