Job Description
WellPower is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse (LPN) to join their team in Denver, CO. This full-time position involves providing clinical services within a multidisciplinary team environment, focusing on psychological problem identification, crisis intervention, and assisting consumers with psychological and social development. Responsibilities include:
- Providing psychological problem identification and crisis interventions.
- Providing limited case management services.
- Assisting consumers with psychological and social development and rehabilitation.
- Coordinating consumer’s use of WellPower programs and community resources.
- Coordinating medical care with clinical staff and psychiatrists.
- Monitoring consumer’s vital signs and obtaining UA's and blood alcohol levels.
- Administering medications, including intramuscular injections.
- Maintaining accurate clinical records.
- Participating in team meetings and supervisory sessions.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Colorado LPN licensure.
- 1-3 years of experience working with consumers with serious mental illness preferred.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed principles.
- Ability to assess crisis situations.
- Familiarity with DSM IV and diagnostic techniques.
- Effective communication skills.
