Job Description
WellPower is seeking a Mental Health Therapist II to provide direct mental health clinical assessments and treatment to individuals with mental illness in a clinical team environment. The therapist will work at the Walk-in Clinic in Denver, primarily on Saturday PM-Sunday AM. WellPower prides itself on innovation, adaptation, and leveraging diverse perspectives.
Responsibilities: - Provide psychological evaluations and problem identification.
- Conduct crisis interventions and individual/family therapy.
- Provide case management services.
- Assist clients with psychological and social development and rehabilitation.
- Coordinate client's use of WellPower programs and community resources.
- Coordinate medication needs with medical professionals.
- Maintain clinical records.
- Participate in meetings and supervisory sessions.
- Perform mental health hold evaluations.
- Obtain prior authorizations and coordinate referrals.
Requirements: - Master's Degree in social work, psychology, or similar field.
- Minimum of three years of experience in clinical social work.
- Experience working with moderate to severe and persistently mentally ill populations.
- Knowledge of psychotherapy methods and community resources.
- Ability to assess crisis situations and intervene appropriately.
- Familiarity with DSM V and diagnostic techniques.
- Effective communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles.
