Job Description
WellPower is seeking a Mental Health Therapist II to provide direct mental health clinical assessments and treatment to individuals with mental illness in a clinical team environment. The therapist will work at the Walk-in Clinic in Denver, primarily on Saturday PM-Sunday AM. WellPower prides itself on innovation, adaptation, and leveraging diverse perspectives.Responsibilities:
  • Provide psychological evaluations and problem identification.
  • Conduct crisis interventions and individual/family therapy.
  • Provide case management services.
  • Assist clients with psychological and social development and rehabilitation.
  • Coordinate client's use of WellPower programs and community resources.
  • Coordinate medication needs with medical professionals.
  • Maintain clinical records.
  • Participate in meetings and supervisory sessions.
  • Perform mental health hold evaluations.
  • Obtain prior authorizations and coordinate referrals.
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in social work, psychology, or similar field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in clinical social work.
  • Experience working with moderate to severe and persistently mentally ill populations.
  • Knowledge of psychotherapy methods and community resources.
  • Ability to assess crisis situations and intervene appropriately.
  • Familiarity with DSM V and diagnostic techniques.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles.
