Senior Applied Scientist

Job Description

Demandbase is seeking a Senior Applied Scientist to join their ML/Data Science team. In this role, the Senior Applied Scientist will contribute to impactful machine learning projects that shape the B2B buyer journey. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in casual inference including experimentation (A/B testing) and observational methods, statistical modeling, machine learning methods, time-series analysis, etc.Role involves:

• Measuring Impact and ROI by applying causal inference methods.
• Data Exploration, Feature Engineering, and Model Building.
• Model Performance and Validation.
• Cross-functional Collaboration with data engineering, product, software engineering, and UX teams.
• Communication of Findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Support Experiments by setting up and supporting backend and front-end A/B tests.

Requirements:

• 5+ years in data science or applied machine learning roles.
• Graduate degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics or a related field.
• Proven experience applying casual inference methods (experimental and observational) as well as ML methods.
• Strong proficiency in Python and ML libraries (e.g., Scikit-Learn, Pandas, Numpy).
• Solid SQL skills.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform or AWS preferred.
