Job Description
Demandbase is seeking a Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting to oversee two employees and report to the Senior Director of Revenue. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate revenue recognition and compliance with accounting standards. The Senior Manager will streamline processes, leverage technology for automation, and partner with various teams to ensure proper accounting of revenue transactions.
Role involves:
- Reviewing and processing customer contracts
- Preparing Standalone Selling Price (SSP) analysis
- Streamlining processes and SOX-compliant controls
- Identifying opportunities for process and system optimization
- Partnering with various teams to ensure accurate revenue accounting
- Supporting ad hoc projects, including systems implementation and acquisitions
- Preparing technical memos for revenue, accounts receivable, and bad debt
- Managing the month-end accounting close process
- Supporting audit deliverables and coordinating with auditors
- Coaching and developing team members
Requirements:
- 7+ years of relevant professional experience
- 2+ years as a successful people manager
- Experience in a high-growth $200M+ industry with SaaS and/or Advertising Revenue
- Strong understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
- Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, or other large financial systems
- Experience with Big 4 accounting firms and CPA preferred
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivation and ability to operate autonomously
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
