The Product Owner will play a crucial role in shaping the future of digital preservation technology by contributing to the development of commercial software solutions. The responsibilities include championing customer needs, collaborating with a distributed team of engineers, designers, and agile delivery leads, and defining, building, and delivering functionality that aligns with customer needs and business goals.
The role involves:
- Owning one or more product areas and understanding customer needs.
- Gathering detailed requirements through collaboration with design, internal stakeholders, and users.
- Working with the sprint team to refine requirements into user stories and set goals.
- Collaborating closely with the tech lead and agile delivery manager.
- Managing and prioritizing the product backlog to maximize value delivery.
- Inputting into the roadmap in collaboration with the product manager.
Requirements:
- Interest in understanding the product and customers.
- Proven experience as a product owner in an agile, product development team.
- Experience with planning techniques like user story mapping.
- A hands-on approach to working with developers and testers.
- Degree level education in a related subject or equivalent experience.
