Director, Machine Learning & Engineering

Job Description

Angi is seeking a Director of Machine Learning and Engineering to lead their Artificial Intelligence team and drive the company's transformation. This role involves tackling challenges such as integrating Angi’s search with LLM Providers like OpenAI GPT and Google Gemini.He/She will lead a team of machine learning engineers, developing ML prototypes and deploying them to production. The Director will also collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams to integrate AI solutions into Angi's products.Responsibilities:

• Lead and grow a team of machine learning engineers.
• Oversee the fine-tuning and deployment of LLMs, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Oversee the integration and management of AI tools and third-party solutions.
• Partner with engineering, product, and design teams to build robust, scalable real-time APIs.
• Foster innovation within the team.

Requirements:

• Master’s or Ph.D. in a computer science or quantitative field.
• 10+ years of experience in machine learning & engineering.
• Expertise in machine learning deployment, API development, and real-time ML workloads.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Excellent communication skills.
