Staff Engineer

Later is seeking a Staff Engineer to contribute to the development of its social media and influencer marketing platform. The ideal candidate will be a problem solver with a strong background in modern web development technologies and a passion for building high-quality, scalable applications. This role involves leading projects, communicating across teams, and continuously improving the codebase.

The Staff Engineer will be a go-to person for solving unknown problems and delivering solutions, ensuring the codebase evolves positively through code reviews, architectural patterns, and coding styles. They will also mentor junior team members and influence others without authority.

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in React and Typescript.
• Strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails and Node.js.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (MySQL and DynamoDB).
• Expertise with integrating third-party APIs.
• Familiarity with AWS or similar cloud platforms.
• Experience with designing scalable, maintainable, and secure system architectures.
• Expertise in profiling and optimizing applications for performance and scalability.
• In-depth knowledge of application and infrastructure security best practices.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and YAML configuration.
• Knowledge of test automation and quality assurance practices.
• Experience with Docker (Kubernetes is a plus).
• Ability to coach and mentor junior team members.
