Staff Engineer

Later is seeking a Staff Engineer to join their team in Boston, MA. Later is the enterprise leader in social media and influencer marketing software. The Staff Engineer will play a crucial role in building high-quality, scalable applications.

The ideal candidate will be a problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes ownership of their work. The Staff Engineer will be responsible for scoping, planning, and leading large projects, communicating across teams, and continuously improving the codebase.

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in React and Typescript.
• Strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails and Node.js.
• Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, specifically MySQL and DynamoDB.
• Expertise with integrating third-party APIs.
• Familiarity with AWS or similar cloud platforms.
• Experience with designing scalable, maintainable, and secure system architectures.
• Expertise in profiling and optimizing applications for performance and scalability.
• In-depth knowledge of application and infrastructure security best practices.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and YAML configuration.
• Knowledge of test automation and quality assurance practices.
• Experience with Docker (Kubernetes is a plus).
• Broader experience in implementing AI/ML solutions in production.
• Ability to coach and mentor junior team members.
