Job Description
Skylo is seeking a Senior Staff Wireless Systems Lead to join their CTO team. This role is crucial for delivering reliable network connectivity globally. The ideal candidate will lead a team of wireless systems engineers, providing technical direction and mentorship. They will define and execute the wireless systems roadmap, aligning with Skylo's strategic goals and 3GPP NTN standards. This person will guide the team in creating technical documentation, analyze network performance, and collaborate with internal engineering teams.

Role involves:
  • Leading a team of wireless systems engineers.
  • Defining and executing the wireless systems roadmap.
  • Analyzing network performance and implementing optimizations.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contributing to 3GPP standards.

Requirements:
  • 15+ years of software engineering experience, with 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in cloud-native software systems and real-time network management.
  • Strong programming skills in C++, Python, or Go.
  • Deep understanding of NB-IoT, LTE, 5G, or satellite communications protocols.
  • Strong grasp of security best practices.
  • Experience in leading multicultural teams.
  • Excellent communication skills.
