Accounts Receivable Associate and Collection Specialist

Lightspeed is seeking an Accounts Receivable Associate and Collection Specialist to join their Capital and Payments team in Ghent. This role is pivotal in managing complex recovery cases, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will blend strategic thinking with empathetic communication to engage with merchants and navigate challenging negotiations.Lightspeed is looking for someone to:

• Demonstrate compassion and empathy for customers.
• Perform outbound communications to manage at-risk accounts.
• Identify data trends and potential issues in collections.
• Partner with internal teams to drive solutions and provide reporting.
• Ensure all recovery activities adhere to relevant laws and regulations.
• Leverage data analytics to identify trends and inform strategic initiatives.
• Offer recommendations for process improvements.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of Lightspeed products and systems.
• Provide insights on recovery policies and playbooks.

Requirements for this role include:

• A minimum of 4 years’ experience in collections or a target-driven call center environment.
• Experience doing collections for a financial institution.
• Strong communication skills in English and in Flemish/Dutch.
• Experience within the fintech or e-commerce industry is an asset.
