Job Description
Lightspeed is seeking a Portfolio Manager, Lending to join their Financial Services team in Toronto. The ideal candidate will assist with yield optimization, financial risk strategies, and market expansion, reporting to the Director, Lending Portfolio Management. This role involves managing the Merchant Cash Advance (MCA) portfolio, assessing risk, and ensuring compliance with servicing policies.

Role Involves:
  • Identifying market share opportunities while managing defaults.
  • Evaluating and maintaining partnerships to grow the Capital business.
  • Creating off-balance sheet financing options.
  • Monitoring MCA portfolio performance.
  • Negotiating legal agreements with investors.
  • Managing relationships with various internal teams.
  • Preparing executive summaries for the board.
  • Implementing credit loss and fraud prevention solutions.

Requirements:
  • 6+ years in strategic finance, capital markets, or banking.
  • Understanding of forward flow programs.
  • Knowledge of modeling approaches for business financials.
  • Practical understanding of data science and SQL.
  • Experience working with global stakeholders.
