Portfolio Manager, Lending

Job Description

Lightspeed is seeking a Portfolio Manager, Lending to join their Financial Services team. This role involves assisting with yield optimization, financial risk strategies, and market expansion, reporting to the Director, Lending Portfolio Management. The Portfolio Manager will manage the Merchant Cash Advance (MCA) portfolio, assess risk, and ensure compliance with servicing policies. They will also provide training, identify operational deficiencies, and implement process enhancements.

• Identifying opportunities to gain market share and maintain acceptable default rates.
• Evaluating and maintaining partnerships to grow the Capital business.
• Creating off-balance sheet financing options.
• Monitoring the performance of the MCA portfolio.
• Managing relationships with Finance, Risk, Go-to-Market, and Operations.
• Preparing executive summaries for the board and higher management.
• Implementing credit loss & fraud prevention solutions.

Requirements:

• 6+ years in strategic finance, capital markets, or banking.
• Understanding and experience in setting up and operating forward flow programs.
• Knowledge of modeling approaches for business financials.
• Practical understanding of data science (segmentation, modeling, etc.) and SQL.
• Experience working with global stakeholders, specifically in the United States.
