Job Description

Lightspeed is seeking a People Business Partner for a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract. The role is based in London and requires fluency in both French and English, as well as knowledge of French employment law. Familiarity with UK employment law is a plus.

The People Business Partner will be the main point of contact for people-related projects, partnering with People & Culture colleagues, stakeholders, and leaders to deliver a strategic people plan. They will support the Sales teams in France and the UK, the Enablement team across EMEA, and other departments as needed.

Role Involves:

  • Providing strategic HR leadership to business leaders and the People & Culture team.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor and coach to senior leadership.
  • Serving as the first point of contact for employee relations matters.
  • Leading data-driven discussions with business leaders.
  • Partnering with stakeholders on core HR programs.
  • Leading and contributing to strategic projects and change initiatives.
  • Driving organizational design and workforce planning efforts.
  • Supporting managers through coaching and guidance.
  • Collaborating with global P&C partners.
  • Acting as a cultural ambassador.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in an HR Generalist and People Business Partner function within a software technology company.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related discipline.
  • Fluency in French and English.
  • In-depth knowledge of French employment law; UK employment law is a strong plus.
  • Experience working on large, global and complex projects.
  • Superb communication, coaching, and influencing skills.
  • Keen interest in Diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Exceptional relationship building skills.
  • Out of the box thinker with a strong desire to bring in metrics and insights.
