Job Description

Lightspeed is seeking a Senior Product Designer to join their Retail product team. In this role, the Senior Product Designer will collaborate and deliver UX experiences that businesses will find useful and engaging. The ideal candidate will be an experienced UX Designer comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with complex problems. They will set UX goals, direction, and strategy, build trust-based relationships, and leverage diverse perspectives.

The Senior Product Designer will be responsible for leading high-level project work, facilitating design studios, leveraging UX expertise, turning concepts into ideas, designing holistic systems, understanding design systems, drawing insights from research and data, building relationships, overseeing UX from conception to launch, and being a positive role model.

  • Leading high-level project work from a design perspective.
  • Leveraging UX expertise and understanding of design systems.
  • Turning nebulous concepts into specific ideas.
  • Designing holistic systems, flows, and interfaces.
  • Drawing insights from research and data.
  • Building relationships with cross-functional teams.
  • Overseeing the UX from conception to launch.

What you bring:

  • At least 5 years of practical, in-house product, UX/UI design experience.
  • Applied experience with service design practices.
  • Applied experience working across all digital and physical manifestations.
  • Strong aesthetic and conceptual skills.
  • Excellent communication and visualization skills.
  • Fluency in use of design systems, prototyping, and user research methodologies.
  • A passion for sharing design strategies.
  • An acute level of self-awareness and deep empathy.
  • A deep curiosity and ability to consider product strategy and vision.
  • Fluency with product, design, and prototyping tools such as Figma, Google Suite, JIRA.
  • Confident in both spoken and written English language skills.
