Job Description

Lightspeed is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join their Hospitality Team in Berlin, specifically within the Onboarding & Configuration squad. This role focuses on simplifying customer onboarding, streamlining business setup, and enabling effortless adjustments through Lightspeed's customer-facing application. The Senior Backend Developer will contribute to the growth of Lightspeed's Hospitality product group, aiding expansion into new markets and strengthening their commerce platform.

What this role involves:

• Collaborating with industry experts to enhance the omnichannel product.
• Contributing to Lightspeed's AWS-hosted, microservice-based platform.
• Balancing new feature development with maintenance of existing partner integrations.
• Reporting to the Development Team Lead and working closely with Product Managers, Product Designers, and Platform Teams.
• Participating in agile ceremonies and advocating for code quality.
• Sharing knowledge and best practices within the team.

Requirements:

• Outstanding Java knowledge with 5+ years of production experience.
• Expert knowledge of the Spring framework.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Experience in automated testing frameworks.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in English.
