Job Description
Remote is seeking a Payroll Specialist Lead to focus on payroll operations in the United Arab Emirates. This role involves end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and managing stakeholder relationships. The Payroll Specialist Lead will drive process improvements, mentor payroll specialists, and optimize payroll operations in a fast-paced, international environment.
What this role involves:
- Managing relationships with stakeholders in Payroll Implementation, Finance, Product, and Engineering.
- Processing full end-to-end payroll in-house, including statutory filing requirements, exceptions, approvals, payments, and compliance.
- Ensuring payroll operations comply with DMCC, MOL, or WPS requirements.
- Maintaining data integrity and quality.
- Focusing on KPIs and SLAs.
- Implementing and improving processes.
- Mentoring and supporting payroll specialists.
Requirements:
- In-house payroll management or equivalent experience leading end-to-end processing of UAE payroll.
- Hands-on experience with DMCC, MOL, or WPS workflows.
- Knowledge of payroll best practices.
- Proficiency in software tools like SAP, Excel / Google Sheet.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, international work environment.
- Fluent English.
