Software Engineer II, (Fullstack) India

Job Description

Vimeo is seeking a passionate and skilled Software Engineer II (Fullstack) to join their team in Bengaluru, India. The ideal candidate will be passionate about programming, cares about clean code, and stays updated on new technologies. This role involves designing and developing high-quality software, collaborating with product management, and participating in the full development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop high-quality software, taking ownership of the process.
• Work collaboratively with product management to define project requirements.
• Participate in all stages of the development lifecycle, including planning and code reviews.
• Build scalable solutions to handle Vimeo's traffic demands.
• Ensure the best technical design and approach for continuous improvement.
• Set high technical standards for the team.

Requirements:

• B-Tech / MTech in Computer Science or equivalent degree.
• Minimum 2 years of web development experience with React.
• Minimum 2 years of backend development experience with GoLang/PHP/Java (PHP preferred).
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and testing skills.
• Very good in algorithms, data structures, time & space complexities, and problem-solving.
• Very good knowledge of Object-Oriented programming paradigm and design patterns.
• Good knowledge of designing systems and analyzing trade-offs.
• Sound knowledge about REST API standards, OAuth, Webhooks, and other SaaS standards.
• Nice to have exposure to NextJs.
• Nice to have exposure on various authorization, authentication models and technologies like RBAC, ReBAC, SSO, SCIM etc
• Willingness to learn and experiment with new technology.
