Rocket Lab is seeking a Senior Spacecraft Formulation Systems Engineer to lead the formulation of new satellite systems and support business development efforts. The role is based in Long Beach, CA.Rocket Lab's Space Systems team is responsible for every satellite and satellite component made by Rocket Lab. The Senior Spacecraft Formulation Systems Engineer will manage technical budgets, requirements definition, test planning and execution, and overall management of the systems engineering process.What this role involves:

• Leading satellite engineering formulation for business development.
• Developing and maintaining technical budgets for vehicle performance.
• Defining system requirements and verification techniques.
• Conducting simulations and analysis across vehicle functions.
• Developing interface specifications and CONOPS definitions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in the aerospace industry.
• Experience supporting satellite and/or spacecraft development programs.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
