Job Description
Rocket Lab is seeking a Recovery Engineering Intern to join their team in Long Beach, California. This internship offers the opportunity to support the Neutron Recovery Team in designing Recovery and Marine Transportation hardware for Neutron. The intern will work closely with a mentor and other employees, applying engineering concepts to solve real-world challenges.
What this role involves:
- Working with a fast-paced group of professionals.
- Attending frequent 1:1 meetings with mentors and supervisors.
- Participating in tech talks and networking events.
Requirements:
- Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s, master's or doctorate degree program in an engineering, physics or math discipline and have at least one semester of school remaining post internship
- GPA of 3.0 or above
- 3+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, laboratory, and personal/team project experience is applicable)
Nice to have:
- GPA of 3.5 or above
- 6+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, laboratory, and personal/team project experience is applicable)
- Experience working with Marine Hardware
- Skills designing Flight/Marine Hardware
- Computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/ CAM) experience
- Knowledge of Flight Hardware Recovery Operations

- Pay Range CA: $28.00 USD Hourly
