People & Culture Business Partner

Job Description

Rocket Lab is seeking a People & Culture Business Partner to join their team in Long Beach, CA. This role will be based on-site at Rocket Lab's Global Headquarters. The People & Culture Business Partner will provide advice and counsel in all areas of HR, including employee relations, employee development, and the interpretation of HR policies. They will also be responsible for creating and implementing new programs and initiatives.Rocket Lab's People & Culture team is responsible for looking after their most valuable asset: their people. Across their global teams, the People & Culture team supports their people and departments across recruitment, new staff orientation, compensation, learning and development.What this role involves:

• Leading Learning & Development for North America.
• Providing performance management guidance to managers.
• Strategizing with business units on engagement, restructures, and workforce planning.
• Managing and resolving complex employee relations issues.
• Partnering with management to improve work relationships and build morale.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in a Human Resources Business Partner/Generalist role.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Extensive knowledge of employment labor laws.
• Working knowledge of HR disciplines, including compensation, employee relations, and performance management.
