Job Description
Rocket Lab is seeking a Senior Program Manager, Launch to be based out of its Long Beach, CA headquarters. This role is crucial in the development of Neutron, Electron, and HASTE launch vehicle programs, focusing on US Government missions. The Senior Program Manager will collaborate across various functional disciplines to achieve program objectives and will also engage with internal and external stakeholders to support mission execution, assurance, and business development.What This Role Involves:
  • Serving as the program manager for Rocket Lab’s launch vehicle programs supporting US Government initiatives.
  • Collaborating with the Neutron and HASTE Chief Engineers to plan and execute programs.
  • Identifying implementation issues and proactively developing recovery plans.
  • Reporting project status and problems to Rocket Lab senior leadership.
  • Leading or approving inputs into proposal development and business development activities.
  • Managing relationships with cross-functional engineering and production teams.
  • Traveling domestically and internationally to support programs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, math, or other technical discipline.
  • 8+ years of engineering experience in the aerospace industry.
  • Program management experience in the aerospace industry.
  • Thorough understanding of launch vehicle and space systems.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance.
