Job Description

Rocket Lab is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern for the Fall 2025 term at their Long Beach, California location. This internship offers the opportunity to support the Space Systems Division, specifically working with Photon, Rocket Lab’s line of high-performance satellites. The intern will collaborate with the Space Vehicle Design team, contributing to the development of new concepts and hardware, testing designs for the extreme space environment, and delivering fully tested hardware to the spacecraft integration team.Role involves:

• Working closely with a mentor and other employees to apply knowledge and grow skills.
• Applying engineering and industry concepts to solve real challenges.
• Attending frequent 1:1 meetings with mentors and supervisors.
• Participating in tech talks and networking events.

Requirements:

• Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s, master's or doctorate degree program in an engineering, physics or math discipline with at least one semester remaining post-internship.
• GPA of 3.0 or above.
• 3+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, laboratory, and personal/team project experience is applicable).
