Senior RF Engineer I/II Pipeline

Job Description

Rocket Lab is seeking a Senior RF Design Engineer I/II to join their Space Systems team in Long Beach, CA. This role involves supporting the development of new RF products, including Rocket Lab’s radio product line, with a focus on the Frontier-Lite Radio. The ideal candidate will possess a strong combination of RF engineering, system design, and board/circuit design skills.Responsibilities:

• Define and maintain requirements specifications.
• Design and prototype RF products, including component selection and PCB layout.
• Support the development of test plans and procedures.
• Liaise with Test Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers for New Product Introduction.
• Review proposals and requirements specifications.
• Provide technical support to internal/external customers.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, RF communications, or related field.
• 5+ years (for Senior RF Engineer I) or 8+ years (for Senior RF Engineer II) of relevant experience.
• Fundamental RF knowledge including cascaded device analysis and link budget analysis.
• Experience in developing and delivering RF products.
• Solid understanding of RF communications and navigation systems.

Nice to have:

• Extensive experience in space grade board design.
