Rocket Lab is seeking a Quality Engineering Intern to join their Space Systems Division in Toronto, Canada. This internship offers the opportunity to enhance non-conformance documentation, configuration management, procurement tracking, and incoming part inspection processes. The intern will gain valuable experience in quality management systems and address quality control issues specific to the aerospace industry.Rocket Lab is a global leader in launch and space systems, responsible for building and launching rockets and satellites that support critical space missions. The company's Electron rocket has been providing reliable access to orbit since 2018, and Neutron, their next-generation reusable rocket, is on the horizon.
What this role involves: - Working closely with a mentor and other employees to apply knowledge and grow skills.
- Applying engineering and industry concepts to solve real challenges.
- Attending frequent 1:1 meetings with mentors and supervisors.
- Participating in tech talks and networking events.
Requirements: - Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s, master's or doctorate degree program in an engineering, physics or math discipline with at least one semester remaining post internship.
- GPA of 3.0 or above.
- 3+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, laboratory, and personal/team project experience is applicable).
Nice to have: - GPA of 3.5 or above.
- 6+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, laboratory, and personal/team project experience is applicable)
- Manufacturing engineering experience.
- Python programming experience.
- Six Sigma experience.
