Semi Senior Software Engineer

Job Description

Galileo is seeking a Semi Senior Software Engineer to contribute to their Core API platform. The engineer will be involved in the entire product lifecycle, from ideation through building, testing, deploying, monitoring and supporting mission critical systems. What this role involves:
• Work on the development and testing of our systems and services
• Engage in shaping the technical architecture of the product
• Help translate product requirements into user stories and technical solutions
• Deliver highly available and scalable services in a production environment
• Write, test, and deploy efficient, scalable code to production that impacts millions of individuals
• Generate ideas for new initiatives and technologies
• Collaborate with project leads, and other software developers

Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3-5 years programming experience in Python.
• Experience with operating in Cloud and distributed systems
• Experience with Continuous Delivery principles and techniques
• Experience with DevOps and ownership of services from development to production
• Emerging ability to collaborate, communicate and influence a team's technical direction
• Emerging ability to design resilient software components within a distributed system.
