Job Description

Galileo Financial Technologies is seeking a LATAM BISO to guide and partner with business unit leadership to enhance the Cyber Security posture, aligning with the strategic direction set by the SoFi CISO. This role acts as a liaison between the central security team and the business unit, understanding key assets and processes, identifying risks, and suggesting mitigation strategies. The BISO ensures business compliance with Cyber Security Policies and Standards, continuously monitoring and reporting on risks.What this role involves:

• Developing an in-depth understanding of region/business unit processes, systems, technologies, data, customers, consumers, and partners.
• Acting as the primary security contact for product, engineering, and operations teams.
• Advising on secure design of product and application architecture.
• Implementing Cyber Security Policies and Standards across the business unit.
• Providing regular reporting on the status of Cyber Security.
• Collaborating with Product Security and Enterprise Security teams to develop a technical roadmap.

What candidate needs:

• Strong understanding in Cyber design, Risk & Compliance, Technology Risk Management, and other security areas.
• Experience evaluating Cyber Security controls and providing guidance for computing platforms.
• Ability to prioritize and execute on multiple work streams.
• Written and verbal skills for communicating security concepts.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
