Médicos Sin Fronteras en México A.C. is seeking a Humanitarian Affairs Officer to contribute to the development of humanitarian affairs activities in international missions. The Humanitarian Affairs Officer will support the Management Coordination Team in the analysis of context, humanitarian situation, and security, and in the definition of advocacy strategies.
Responsibilities: - Perform data collection and research concerning local and international context.
- Support the Head of Mission and field coordinators in the analysis of the data collected.
- Compile regular updates of the ongoing activities of NGOs, UN, ICRC, donors, authorities.
- Collaborate with the HoM and other relevant parties to develop a coherent global strategy.
- Define and review messages, tools, lobbying activities and other advocacy action plans and strategies.
- Ensure smooth working relationship with local authorities, other NGO’s, local communities.
- Organize discussions, trainings, briefings, etc. about human rights and humanitarian law issues.
- Participates in the elaboration and updating of the Country Risk Analysis.
- Promotes and assists in the implementation of advocacy activities locally, nationally and internationally.
- Supervises humanitarian affairs related staff in the Mission.
Requirements: - Degree in Law, Humanitarian affairs, Political Sciences or related.
- Previous working experience of at least two years in research, analysis and advocacy.
- Experience with MSF or other NGOs.
- English (B2 or higher level), Spanish (C1 or higher level), French (B1 or higher level).
- Computer skills (word, excel and internet).
What role offers: - Monthly remuneration: in the first 12 months, the bonus approximate gross monthly is USD $1,500.

- Expenses of stay in the land are covered: housing, basic services, cleaning and washing.
- Other expenses such as transportation, visas, transfer to the country of destination and Displacements in the field will also be covered by MSF.
- Per diem or monthly per diem: mainly to cover meals and small personal expenses.
