DevOps Data Engineer – MongoDB, Postgres & AWS

Job Description

Vonage is seeking a DevOps Data Engineer to join their platform engineering team. In this role, the individual will contribute to designing and architecting the database platform, working with MongoDB Atlas and AWS cloud services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for database tuning, query performance, implementing high availability strategies, automating schema migrations and credential management, and monitoring.

Role Involves:

• Designing and architecting the database platform
• Database tuning and query performance optimization

• Monitoring database operations

Requirements:

• At least 5+ years of production experience with MongoDB & Postgres
• Deep knowledge on query execution concepts
• Experience with cloud services (AWS preferred)
• 3+ years of experience in data related roles
• Strong communication skills & ability to work in a team
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in a growing, dynamic team
