Engineering Manager (DevOps)

Job Description

Vonage is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead DevOps initiatives in Wrocław. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for managing the execution of Agile practices and processes, helping the team accelerate their development and optimize their output. They will manage and build on a reliable continuous improvement process and ensure efficient delivery at high quality.

The Engineering Manager will act as an escalation point for development teams, managing engineers, building relationships, coaching, and helping them improve. They will understand business objectives, support engineer development, and coordinate team ceremonies.

Role Involves:

• Managing Agile practices and processes.
• Building and maintaining a continuous improvement process.
• Acting as an escalation point for development teams.
• Managing and coaching engineers.
• Coordinating team ceremonies.

Requirements:

• Proven record of leading, developing, and managing development teams.
• Experience in managing a team producing measurable delivery of software.
• Experience in leading delivery cycles with agile methodologies.
• Experience with best practice work management tools, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
• Experience in managing multi-cultural and diverse technology professionals.
• 2+ years of experience as a DevOps Manager or Tech Lead.
• Solid understanding of AWS Cloud Architecture.
• Knowledge with Infrastructure as Code provisioning and configuration management.
• Knowledge with the operation of Microservices infrastructure.
• Knowledge with CI/CD tooling.
