Platform Engineer (DevOps)

Job Description

Vonage is seeking a Platform Engineer to join their team in Wrocław. This role is focused on reducing friction and enhancing the engineering experience through automation, tooling, and collaborative problem-solving.

The Platform Engineer will work with software engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to improve development processes and automate the continuous delivery of applications and infrastructure. They will also contribute to application project management by defining requirements, estimating costs, and documenting progress.

Responsibilities include:

• Implementing and improving CI/CD pipelines
• Supporting developers building features for multiple technology stacks
• Working with Cloud Operations and SRE teams to build cloud-based architecture
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes through tooling and automation
• Evaluating continuous integration, delivery technologies, and software development methodologies

Requirements:

• Familiarity with Windows, Linux, AWS, Chef, Terraform, and Docker
• Knowledge of software development fundamentals (Ruby, Python, PowerShell, C# or Java)
• Experience with CI/CD methodologies and technologies (Jenkins and GitHub Actions)
• Understanding of Lean, Agile, and continuous delivery practices
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
