Job Description
Vonage is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead and coordinate internal software-related projects. This role is part of the central PMO office and will ensure the smooth execution of projects spanning software product releases, internally developed solutions, and enterprise software deployments. The Senior Project Manager will be crucial in the testing, BUAT, QA, and deployment phases of the software lifecycle.
In this role, the Senior Project Manager will:
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and roadmaps.
- Monitor project progress, manage risks, and proactively resolve issues.
- Act as the main point of coordination between Product, Engineering, and business teams.
- Facilitate cross-team collaboration without direct authority.
- Coordinate testing, business user acceptance testing (BUAT), quality assurance (QA), and deployment activities.
- Apply best practices in project management tailored to the project needs.
- Lead project retrospectives, capture lessons learned, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Vonage requires:
- 10+ years of experience in project management for software or high-tech industries.
- Proven experience managing projects without direct authority.
- Strong understanding of software development processes, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Proven ability to lead projects through testing, BUAT, QA, and deployment phases.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Monday.com, MS Project).
