Senior UX/UI Design System Designer

Job Description

Vonage is seeking a Senior Design System Designer to contribute to the innovation of cloud communications. This role involves creating, maintaining, and evolving the design system to ensure consistency and user-centricity across all products. The Senior Design System Designer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish best practices and streamline workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the Vonage design system.
• Work with product design and engineering teams for system integration.
• Define and manage design patterns, components, and UI standards.
• Create documentation and guidelines for design system adoption.
• Lead the design of new components based on user needs.
• Advocate for accessibility and inclusive design.
• Train and support designers and developers in using the design system.
• Continuously improve the design system based on feedback.
• Stay updated with the latest design trends and technologies.
• Mentor junior design system designers.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in design with a focus on design systems.
• Expertise in creating and maintaining design systems across web and mobile platforms.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma.
• In-depth knowledge of UI/UX principles and accessibility standards.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of responsive design and design tokens.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Passion for creating scalable systems.
